Every other news story lately is yet another food recall. Bacon, lettuce, bread, blueberries, eggs, and on and on and on. If the cost of groceries doesn’t keep us from eating, the fear of them will. Why* is all this happening now? I have a theory…
*We all KNOW the real reason is this administration loosened all regulations and oversight, but the truly stunning thing was just how quickly companies embraced profit over public health. Not even a performative “hmmmmm…should we…?”.
I’m really pleased with this little cartoon today. I probably would have had more to say about it but with the loss of Dolly…I just don’t have it in me right now. I also can’t really talk about her just yet. Probably (maybe) Friday.
