Katmai Bear edition
I have exciting news! The bears are back at Katmai and the Bearcam is rolling again! (Go HERE!) I usually have the TV or computer monitor set to this during the summer months as I watch them catch tons of salmon and fatten up for the winter! I am set on Africam for the rest of the year or downtimes in the summer.
Since there is a severe lack of grizzlies in Georgia I have to use this for my modeling right now. But the cameras are great! So let’s get to the bears in the order I saw them! First up, this guy! I’d been checking the cam and saw it was turned on but there was never any bears. But on Thursday…

Next was this adorable fuzz face. I’m not sure if it was fishing or just having a nice soak. I was good with either.

This big one was VERY intent on the job at hand. And was quite good at it. Caught about 3 or so while I was watching but would eat it and then come back to this exact spot for more. VERY helpful to the artist.

I was pleased with my composition for this one. The camera stayed panned out and I had to decide what I wanted to work with. I thought this looked like a nice panel from a comic or a movie storyboard!

Finally, there was this guy. I may have drawn him squinting because that was what I was doing as they never really zoomed in on him either. Oh well.

And that’s all for my Bear Summer Kickoff Spectacular! I hope you enjoy watching them as much as I do. I also fervently wish your weekend has been safe. (I would say “peaceful” but they were literally exploding stuff near my house at 8am yesterday.) Have a great week!
